If you’re like most people, you probably rely on electricity to run your computer and other electronics. But what if you could turn off your grid and live completely off-the-grid? In this article, we’ll show you how to do just that using Adobe Illustrator. First, open up Illustrator and create a new document. You can use any size or resolution that works for you, but we recommend at least 1000 pixels wide by 2000 pixels high. Next, select the Rectangle tool (M) and draw a rectangle on your artboard. Make sure the fill color is set to black and the stroke color is set to white. Now click on the Options bar and under Stroke Options, change the Width to 0px and Height to 0px. This will make your rectangle invisible. Next, select the Ellipse tool (L) and draw an ellipse inside of your black rectangle. Make sure the fill color is set to white and the stroke color is set to black again. Next, click on the Paths tab in Illustrator’s toolbar and select Add Path from the dropdown menu. Then enter a path name like “OffGridPath” into the Name field and click OK. Finally, drag your OffGridPath path onto your artboard so it’s positioned over your ellipse shape. Now it’s time to disable gridlines in your document! To do this, select all of the paths in your document by clicking on them once with Ctrl+A (Command+A on Mac) or by selecting all of them with one of Illustrator’s selection tools like the Rectangle tool (M).
