If you’re like most people, you probably have a PlayStation 4 controller lying around somewhere. But if you don’t have a cord to connect your controller to your PlayStation 4, there are a few ways to sync it without one. The first way is to use an ethernet cable. If you have an Ethernet jack on your motherboard, plug it into that and your PlayStation 4. Then plug the other end of the ethernet cable into an outlet and your PlayStation 4. Turn on your PlayStation 4 and the ethernet cable and try connecting to it. If everything is connected correctly, you’ll see a green light on your Playstation 4 and the ethernet icon in the network tray will be active. If not, check that the ethernet cable is plugged in properly and that there’s no obstruction between the computer and the Playstation4 (like when using a surge protector). The second way is to use Bluetooth. You can buy Bluetooth adapters or find them online. Once you’ve connected your controller to Bluetooth, open up Settings on your device and select “Bluetooth.” Then select “Scan for devices.” Your controller should show up as one of the devices in this scan. If not, check that both ends of the Bluetooth connection are working properly (try turning off one end of the connection if it’s not). The third way is to use USB cables. You can buy USB cables or find them online. Once you’ve connected your controller to USB, open up Settings on your device and select “USB.” Then select “Connect.” Your controller should show up as one of the devices in this scan. If not, check that both ends of the USB connection are working properly (try turning off one end of the connection if it’s not).
