When you want to create a layered image in Photoshop, you can use the layers palette or the layer menu. The layer palette is more versatile because it allows you to select multiple layers at once. The layer menu is more efficient because it only allows you to select one layer at a time. To select multiple layers in the layer palette, use the following steps:

  1. Choose the Layer Palette from the Layers palette.
  2. Drag one or more layers from the layer palette into your document.
  3. If you want to add a new layer, press Ctrl+N (Windows) or Cmd+N (Mac) and then drag another layer into place on top of the firstlayer.
