If you’re like most people, you probably save artboards separately in Illustrator. This is a good practice because it makes it easy to keep track of which artboard is which when you need to make a change or add new content. But if you want to save all your artboards together in Illustrator, there’s a way to do that without having to worry about individual artboards. In this article, we’ll show you how to create a custom layer group in Illustrator that will keep all your artboards together. First, open Illustrator and create a new document. Name the document “Artboard 1.” Next, create a new layer group and name it “Artboard Group 1.” Now, open the Layers palette and select the “All Layers” button. This will open up the layers palette in fullscreen mode so you can see all of your layers at once. Now, select the “Artboard Group 1” layer and click on the “+” button next to it. This will add an extra layer into the layer group called “Artboard 2.” Now select the “Artboard 2” layer and click on the “-” button next to it. This will remove an extra layer from the layer group called “Artboard 1.” Now that everything is set up correctly, we can save our Artboard Group 1 and Artboard 2 layers together into one file by selecting File > Save As > ArtBoardGroup1_SaveAs and then clicking on OK. We now have two files named ArtBoardGroup1_SaveAs and ArtBoard2_SaveAs respectively.
