If you’re like most people, you probably have a PlayStation 4 console. But if you don’t know how to reset it, now is the time to learn. Here’s how:

  1. Open the console’s power button and hold it down for about 10 seconds. This will turn off the console.
  2. Open the system software by pressing “E” on your keyboard or “F5” on your computer.
  3. Scroll down to “Reset” and press it. The console will reboot and ask you to choose a language before resetting. Choose English this time around!
  4. After the reset has finished, close all of your programs and open your PlayStation 4 again (assuming you closed them when you last resetted it). If everything went well, your PlayStation 4 should be back up and running as if nothing happened!
