If you’re unhappy with the way your chin looks, there’s a good chance you can improve it in Photoshop. Here are four steps to remove a double chin in Photoshop:
- Open Photoshop and create a new document.
- Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool (M) and draw a rectangle around your entire chin area. Don’t worry about making it perfectly square or even - just make sure it’s big enough to cover your entire chin.
- In the Options Bar, set the Width to 100% and the Height to 100%. This will make sure that the rectangle covers your entire chin area completely.
- Click on the Selection Tool (V) and select all of the pixels inside of the rectangle you just created. Now, press Ctrl+J (PC: Cmd+J) to copy this selection onto another layer - we’ll call this “Chin Layer.”
- Go back to your original document and click on the New Layer button at the bottom of the Layers palette (or use keyboard shortcut Ctrl+N). Name this new layer “Doublechin Removal” and click OK.
- Select both Chin Layer and Doublechin Removal layers, then press Ctrl+T (PC: Cmd+T) to merge these two layers together into one layer - we’ll call this “Chin Merged.”
- Finally, use Photoshop’s Blur tool (U) to soften up any harsh edges around your jawline by dragging it slowly across each edge of Chin Merged layer until you’re happy with how it looks. ..
