If you’re like most Photoshop users, you probably use the layer palette to rasterize images. But if you want to do it the right way, there’s a better way. To rasterize a layer in Photoshop CC, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the layer you want to rasterize from the layers palette.
  2. Click on the Rasterize button in the layer palette.
  3. In the resulting dialog box, choose how much of your image to rasterize and how many pixels per inch (ppi). You can also choose a resolution if you want to create high-resolution images.
  4. Click on OK to finish rasterizing the layer.
