If you’re a PlayStation 4 owner, then you know that port forwarding is a must-have for security. It allows you to access your PlayStation 4 from any location, whether that’s at home or work. But what if you don’t have a router? What if your house doesn’t have an ethernet jack? Or what if your office doesn’t have an ethernet jack? In those cases, you can use a PS4’s built-in network connection to forward ports. To do this, open the PS4’s settings and select “Network.” Under “Network Connection,” select “Wi-Fi.” In the “Wired Connection” field, enter the name of your router or modem. If you’re using an Ethernet cable to connect to your house or office, enter “ethernet.” If you’re using a PS4’s built-in network connection, enter “ps4.” After adding the appropriate information, click on the “Add” button and wait for the process to finish. Now that you’ve port forwarded your PlayStation 4, be sure to keep it up and running by following these simple steps:
- Make sure that your router is connected to the internet and is enabled for port forwarding.
- Open a web browser and type in “ps4” into the address bar.
- Once you’ve entered ps4 into the address bar of your web browser, click on the link in the bottom left corner of the page.
- After clicking on this link, ensure that your router has been enabled for port forwarding by checking its status under “Forwarding Protocols.” If everything looks good on your router (and it should), congratulations! You’ve successfully forwarded ports on your PlayStation 4!
