Halftone is a technique used in screen printing to create a gradual change in color intensity across the image, resulting in a more realistic print appearance. To halftone an image, you’ll need Photoshop and some basic tools. To start, create a new layer on your canvas and name it “halftone”. On this layer, use the following tools to halftone your image: • Halftone Tool (G): This tool allows you to halve the color intensity of your image, making it look like there are smaller changes in color throughout the image. To use this tool, click on the black line at the bottom of the tool box and drag it up or down to change how much of each color is halved. The default setting is 50%. • Hue/Saturation Tool (H): This tool allows you to adjust how much of each color is shown in your image. To use this tool, click on one of the colors and then drag its slider up or down to change how much that color is shown. The default setting is 50%. • Curves Tool (C): This tool allows you to create gradients between different colors in your image. To use this tool, click on one of the colors and then drag its slider left or right to change how gradient-like changes are created. The default setting is 100%.
