There are a few things you need before starting: a storyboard, Photoshop, and some basic drawing skills.

  1. Start by creating a new document in Photoshop. Name it “Storyboard 1.”
  2. On the left-hand side of your storyboard, create a rectangle with the width of your canvas and the height of your storyboard. This will be your main canvas for drawing on.
  3. In the top-left corner of your storyboard, create a circle with the diameter of your canvas and the height of your storyboard. This will be where you place all of your characters and objects in your story.
  4. On the right-hand side of your storyboard, create another rectangle with the width of your canvas and the height of your storyboard plus 1px (or whatever size you want). This will be used to contain all other elements in your storyboards - such as graphics or text - while they are drawn on top of it.
  5. Now that everything is created, it’s time to start drawing! Just drag any object or character from one rectangle to another, or use CTRL+D to delete everything in between them (you can also press CTRL+Z to undo). Once everything is drawn on top of each other, press CTRL+C to finish up!
