There are a few things you can do to make a lower third in Photoshop. The first is to select the layer that will contain your lower third. Then, use the following commands to create it: Command: Layers: New Layer: Bottom Left Command: Layers: Add Layer Mask: Black & White The black & white layer mask will hide all of the other layers in the image, leaving just the bottom left layer.
