There are a few things you need to know before starting:
- The dimensions of your cylinder.
- The type of material you will be using to create the cylinder.
- The tools you will need to create the cylinder.
- Determine the dimensions of your cylinder in Illustrator. In general, a cylinder should be at least twice the size of its original shape, and no more than four times the size of its original shape (i.e., it should not be too small or too large).
- Choose a material for your cylinder in Illustrator. There are a few different materials that can be used for cylinders, but some popular materials include plastic, metal, and glass.
- Use the tools available to create your cylinder in Illustrator. To create a perfect circle or other basic shapes, use the Pen tool and drag around your object until you have what you want; for more complex shapes, use the Polygonal tool and drag around your object until it looks like it has a specific shape (e.g., an ellipse).
