There are a few things you can do to flatten an image in Illustrator to make it easier to work with. First, select the image and press the command key (or control key on a Mac). Then, use the arrow keys to move the image around so that it is more even. Finally, use the command key or control key to select all of the images in the document and press Ctrl+A (or Cmd+A on a Mac).
