If you’re like most people, you probably create artwork in Illustrator and then export it as a file. But if you want to export Illustrator artboards as separate files, there are a few things you need to know. First, Illustrator doesn’t support exporting artboards as individual files. You must use the Export As… command to create separate files that contain all of your artwork. Second, when exporting your Illustrator artboards as separate files, make sure that each file is named after the file name of the Illustrator document that contains the artwork. For example, if your document is called “MyArtboard1.ai”, then your exported artboard would be named “MyArtboard1”. Finally, be sure to check the box next to “Export As PDF” when prompted to create a new file type for your exported artboards. This will save you time and trouble when trying to open and view your exported files later on.
