If you’re a graphic designer or illustrator, then you know how to exit isolation mode in Illustrator. But what about everyone else? In Illustrator, there are three ways to exit isolation mode: by pressing the Esc key, by using the Alt key, and by using the Option key. The Esc key exits isolation mode automatically. The Alt key allows you to change the active layer’s name. The Option key allows you to select a different layer or group of layers as your active layer.
