Illustrator is a great program for creating graphics. However, if you want to duplicate layers in Illustrator, you will need to use the Duplicate Layer command. This command will create a new layer on top of the current layer, and will copy all of the content of the current layer into the new layer. To use the Duplicate Layer command, first select the layer you want to duplicate from within Illustrator. Then press Command+D (or click on theDuplicate Layer icon in the bottom left corner of your screen). Once you have duplicated the layer, you can change its name and contents as desired. To delete a duplicated layer, select it from within Illustrator and press Command+E (or click on theDelete Layer icon in the bottom left corner of your screen).
