If you’re like most people, you probably use Illustrator to create graphics for your website, brochures, or other types of documents. And if you’re like most people, you probably struggle with drawing straight lines. There are a few ways to do it, but the easiest is to use the Pen tool (P). When you start drawing a line, make sure that the cursor is in the middle of the path that you want to create. Then click and hold down the mouse button while dragging the cursor along the path. If you release the mouse button before releasing it from within Illustrator’s boundaries (the blue box), Illustrator will create a curved line.
