If you’re like most Etsy users, you probably don’t want your past transactions and purchases visible on the site. But deleting your Etsy history isn’t as easy as it might seem. Here are four tips to help you erase your past on the platform:
- Log in to your account and click on the “History” tab at the top of the page. This will show you a list of all of your past transactions, including items you’ve sold, gifted, and commented on.
- If you want to delete an individual transaction, click on it and select “Delete this transaction.” You can also delete all of your past transactions by clicking on the “History” tab again and selecting “Clear all history.”
- If you want to keep a copy of a transaction but remove its details from the History page, open that transaction in a new window by clicking on it and selecting “Open in new window/tab.” Then copy its contents into a text editor (like Microsoft Word) and delete everything except for the date (which should remain unchanged). Finally, save that document back to Etsy and upload it as a new transaction.
- If you want to permanently remove all traces of a particular account from Etsy, sign out completely and create a new account using a different email address. Once logged in again, go to Settings > Accounts > Your account name > Delete account ..
