There are a few ways to delete people from Hangouts. The easiest way is to use the “Delete People” button in the top right corner of the chat window. The button will ask you to confirm deletion before deleting the person. If you accidentally delete someone, they can still be seen in your chat logs and on your contact list, but they won’t be able to join or message you.
