If you’re a gamer and you’ve ever had the misfortune of getting into a heated argument with another player over a game pigeon, there’s one simple way to end the altercation before it becomes physical: delete all of the messages. This is especially important if you’re the one who initiated the argument in the first place. If you can’t do it yourself, make sure someone else is on your side—someone who will be able to mediated between you and your opponent without getting involved. There are a few things to keep in mind when deleting messages:
- Make sure that all of your messages have been sent and received; this will help prove that you were not responsible for starting the argument in the first place.
- Delete any messages that are not relevant to the current situation; these may include messages that are just being sent as part of an effort to start another argument, or those that are simply irrelevant and don’t have anything useful to say.
- Delete any messages that are angry or threatening; these could lead to further conflict if they remain un deleted.
