If you’re a Jira user, there’s a good chance you’ve seen the “delete a ticket” button at the top of the screen. But what do you do if you want to delete a ticket that’s already been created? There are two ways to delete tickets: by using the “delete ticket” button in the top left corner of the screen or by using the “delete all tickets” option in the bottom right corner. The “delete all tickets” option deletes all active tickets on Jira, regardless of whether they’ve been created yet. This can be a bit of a pain if you want to keep track of which tickets have been deleted and which haven’t. If you use this option, be sure to select “all active tickets” as your criteria for deletion so that all active tickets are included in the deletion process. The “delete button in top left corner” method deletes only the first matching ticket from each row in yourticket table. So if there are dozens of rows in yourticket table, this method will delete them all! This is great for deleting single-ticket issues quickly and easily. However, it can be difficult to find and click on the “delete ticket” button when there are hundreds or thousands of rows in yourticket table. So if you use this method, make sure to search for and click on the “delete ticket” button only when you need to delete a specific row from yourticket table.
