If you’re like most people, you probably have at least one PlayStation 4 account. Whether you’re a gamer or not, having an account on the console is important for many reasons. First and foremost, it gives you access to all of the games and content that PlayStation 4 has to offer. Second, if you lose your PS4 or if it gets stolen, your account can be used to play those games and content again. There are a few ways to deactivate your PlayStation 4 accounts:

  1. Log into your PS4 system and go to “Accounts” in the top left corner of the screen. Under “Accounts,” select “Deactivate.” This will take a few minutes to complete.
  2. If you’re using an online account, log into that account and select “Deactivate.” This will take a few minutes to complete as well.
  3. If you’re using a physical PS4 system, go into “Settings” on that system and select “Accounts.” Under “Accounts,” select “Deactivate.” This will take a few minutes to complete as well.
