In Illustrator, you can create depth by using the layers feature. You can create a layer by selecting it from the Layers palette, and then clicking on the Add Layer button. You can also drag and drop a layer onto another one to combine them. You can also use the layers feature to group related elements together. To do this, select one of the elements in your document and click on the Group button. Then, select another element and click on the Group button again.
