When you buy a PlayStation 4, you’re likely given the option to connect it to your home’s WiFi. This is a great way to keep your console connected and free from any potential issues. However, if you don’t have a home WiFi network or if your network is not very strong, you may need to find another way to connect your PlayStation 4 to the internet. Here are some tips on how to do this:
- Make sure that your PlayStation 4 is properly plugged into an outlet and that there is no obstruction in its path.
- Connect your PlayStation 4’s power cord directly to an outlet and then plug it into a wall socket.
- Open the PS4’s case and remove the two screws at the back of its motherboard. You’ll now see four wires coming out of it - these are the power cord, ethernet cable (if using), audio cable (if using), and reset button (if using). The reset button should be facing away from you when you’re looking at them - it will look like a small black button with white writing on it.
- Take one of the wires from the motherboard and plug it into one of the ports on your Playstation 4 (it should be labelled “5v”). Now take another wire and plug it into one of the ports on your Playstation 4 (it should be labelled “12v”). Finally, take one of the wires from the motherboard and plug it into an ethernet port on your computer or router (it should be labelled “eth0”). Now make sure that both Playstation 4s are plugged in to their respective outlets and turn on their power cords! If everything has worked correctly so far, you’ll now see something like this when you try to play a game: Now that we’ve connected our PlayStation 4s to our home WiFi network, we can finally play games without any issues!
