If you have a riding lawn mower, it’s important to keep it clean. The underside of the machine is particularly prone to collecting debris and dirt, which can quickly become a mess. Here are four easy steps to cleaning your lawn mower’s underside:

  1. Remove the deck of the machine. This is usually done by lifting up on one side of the handlebar and pulling outwards.
  2. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean all of the debris and dirt from under the machine. Be sure to use the hose attachment if available, as this will help remove any smaller pieces of debris.
  3. Wipe down the entire underside of the machine with a dry cloth or paper towel. Make sure that all traces of dirt and debris are gone before re-installing the deck of the machine.
