If your MacBook Pro is starting to get a little dusty, there’s one easy way to clean the fan—and keep your computer running smoothly. All you need is some compressed air and a can of compressed air cleaner. To clean the fan, first unscrew the bottom of the computer and remove the battery. Next, use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the four screws that hold down the fan cover. Once it’s free, gently pull off the cover and set it aside. Now you can access the fan itself. First, spray some compressed air into each of the four corners of the fan housing and wait about 30 seconds for it to work its way into every nook and cranny. Then use a can of compressed air cleaner to blast away any dust or debris that’s caught in between the blades. Be sure to repeat this process if there’s still dust buildup after cleaning with air cleaner. Finally, screw back on the cover and replace the battery before reassembling your MacBook Pro. ..
