Plywood is a popular flooring material that can be cleaned with a few simple steps.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Cut the plywood into 1-inch pieces and spread them out on a baking sheet.
- Bake the plywood for 10 minutes, or until it’s lightly browned.
- Remove the plywood from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before cutting it into smaller pieces.
- Spread each piece of plywood out on a work surface and start by rubbing it with a dry cloth to remove any dirt or dust particles that may have been missed earlier.
- Next, use an electric drill to cut through the top of each piece of plywood so that you can access the screws that hold the subfloor in place (you’ll need to use pliers to do this). Be sure to keep all of these screws in mind as you’re working - if you lose one, your subfloor will likely not function properly!
- Once all of the screws are in place, reattach the top of each piece of plywood using pliers and then screw them back in place (again, be sure to keep all of these screws in mind!).
