If you’re like most people, you probably don’t have a lot of experience cleaning fish. But it’s not as hard as you might think, and it can be a fun activity to do with friends. Here are four tips on how to clean a whole flounder:
- Start by cutting off the head and tail of the fish. This will make it easier to handle and will also make sure that all the blood is drained from the fish.
- Next, use a sharp knife to cut down one side of the fish so that it can be opened up like a book. Be careful not to cut into the flesh below the skin!
- Use your hands to remove any scales or debris from inside the fish cavity. Be sure to get into all of the nooks and crannies!
- Finally, pour some water into the cavity of the fish and swish it around until everything has been cleaned up. You can then discard any remaining water or put the fish in fresh water to finish cooking. ..
