If you’re like most people, you probably think of the Vitamix as a powerful blender that can make everything from smoothies to soup. But if you’re just starting out, it’s important to know how to clean your Vitamix so that it can continue serving you reliably and efficiently. To clean your Vitamix, first remove the top cover. Then unscrew the four screws on the bottom of the machine. Lift off the bottom of the machine and place it on a surface so that it’s facing down. Push down on one end of the motor cover and pull it off. The motor cover will now be in two pieces. Place one piece on top of the other and screw them back together again using four screws (inwards). Now turn your Vitamix upside down so that its blades are facing away from you and use a plunger to push all of the cleaning solution into each blade area (it should come out easily). Be sure not to get any liquid onto any parts of your Vitamix or onto your hands – this will cause problems later when trying to clean it again! Once all of the cleaning solution has been used up, turn your Vitamix back over so its blades are facing towards you and screw in new motor covers (inwards).
