If you’re like most coffee drinkers, you probably don’t think much about cleaning your portafilter. After all, it’s just a piece of metal with some holes in it that extracts the coffee grounds from the beans. But if your portafilter is dirty, it can affect the quality of your coffee. Here’s how to clean it:

  1. Fill a pot with water and set it on the stove to heat up.
  2. Put your portafilter in the water and let it soak for a few minutes.
  3. Take your portafilter out of the water and put it on a towel to dry off.
  4. Use a brush to scrub the inside of the portafilter clean. Be sure to get into all of the nooks and crannies!
  5. Rinse off the portafilter and towel thoroughly before putting them back in the water to soak again if necessary. ..
