There are a few things you can do to clean a gas heater before you need to service it.

  1. Remove the filters and clean the entire unit.
  2. Remove any obstructions from the heating system such as leaves, branches, or other objects that could be blocking the flow of air and causing heat loss.
  3. Open the vents and let all of the air out of the heater.
