If you’re like most dirt bike riders, you probably love the thrill of the open road and the feeling of wind in your hair. But if you’re also like most dirt bike riders, you probably don’t love cleaning your air filter. Fortunately, it’s not too hard to clean a dirt bike air filter. Here are four easy steps:

  1. Remove the air filter cover. This is usually a screw on type that just pops off.
  2. Remove the air filter element by unscrewing it from the housing. Make sure to clean all of the dust and debris that has built up on it before re-installing it into the housing.
  3. Pour some mild soap into a bucket or sink and add enough water to cover the element (about 2 cups). Soak the element for about 10 minutes, then rinse it off with water.
  4. Screw back on the cover and put everything back together in reverse order - making sure to tighten down all of the screws! ..
