If you’re like most people, you probably use a dab rig to make small, precise doses of your favorite substances. But if you’re like me, you also use it to clean the rig. The problem is that alcohol can get on the equipment and make it difficult to clean. Here’s how to clean a dab rig without alcohol:

  1. Disconnect the power cord from the dab rig. This will stop the rigs from turning on and making noise.
  2. Remove any wax or tar that may be on the rigs body or gear. This will help prevent any liquid from getting onto the equipment and onto your skin or clothes.
  3. Pour a pot of water onto the rig and place it in front of the fire so that it’s boiling hot (but not too hot). The water should help loosen any wax or tar that may be on the rigs body or gear. 4. Use a cloth or paper towel to remove as much of the wax or tar as possible, then place it in a cup or jar to cool down (or store in an airtight container). 5. Place another cloth or paper towel over top of each tool and place them back in front of the fire so they can start heating up again (but not too hot). 6. Use a chopstick, spoon, knife, etc., to remove all of the material that was removed from the rigs body/gear by previous steps (except for any wax that was left behind). 7. Put everything back together and re-start using your dab rig!
