There are a few things you need before starting to clean a cheese cloth: a cheesecloth, water, and soap.

  1. Pour enough water onto the cheesecloth to cover it completely. Make sure the water is cold and has a good texture.
  2. Place the cheesecloth on top of a pot or bowl filled with water. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, until the cheesecloth is soaked in the liquid.
  3. Remove the cheesecloth from the pot or bowl of water and place it on your work surface. Gently wring out any excess liquid from it by rubbing it against your hands or using an old toothbrush handle (or use one of those plastic chopsticks). Be careful not to damage the cloth!
  4. Use your hands or an old toothbrush handle to scrub away at any dirt, dust, or other debris that may have built up on the cloth over time. Be sure to use as much pressure as you can without damaging the cloth too much; if you overuse force, you may end up tearing it apart!
  5. Once all of the dirt, dust, and debris has been removed from the cloth, put it back into its original position on your work surface and let it dry completely before using it again!
