If you have a bug zapper, it’s time to clean it. Bug zappers use electric fields to kill bugs. The fields also attract dirt and other small objects. Over time, the bug zapper can become cluttered with debris. Here’s how to clean it:
- Turn off the bug zapper and unplug it from the wall.
- Remove all the batteries and any other objects that could be damaged by electricity.
- Clean the exterior of the bug zapper with a cloth or a vacuum cleaner using the hose attachment if available. Be sure to avoid touching the electric parts of the bug zapper!
- Wipe down all surfaces inside of the bug zapper with a cloth or a vacuum cleaner using the hose attachment if available. Be sure to avoid touching any electric parts of the bug zapper! ..
