In Illustrator, you can change the DPI (dots per inch) of a document. This setting affects how quickly the document is displayed on your screen. You can change the DPI in three ways: By using the slider bar at the bottom of the window, or by using one of the buttons at the top. By changing the value of a specific pixel in a document, or by changing all pixels in a document to a certain value. To change the DPI in an entire document, use one of these methods:

  1. Change all pixels in a document to a certain value. This is called “changing all values.” To do this, click on one of the buttons at the top of the window and select “change all values.” Then enter a new value for each pixel in your document. For example, if you want to change all pixels in your document to 100 dpi, type 100 into one of these fields and press OK. The Document Properties dialog box will now show that all values have been changed to 100 dpi. 2. Change individual pixels in a document. To do this, click on one of the buttons at the top of the window and select “change individual pixels.” Then enter an information about how many dots per inch (dpi) you want each pixel to be set at (for example, 300 dpi). The Document Properties dialog box will now show that each pixel has been set to 300 dpi. 3. Change all values for every pixel in a document. To do this, click on one of these buttons and select “change all values.” Then enter an information about how many dots per inch (dpi) you want each pixel to be set at (for example, 300 dpi). The Document Properties dialog box will now show that every pixel has been set to 300 dpi and there are no more available options for changing DPI!
