If you’re a PlayStation 4 owner, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the “PS4 boot code.” This code can be used to remove someone from your console if they’ve been using it in an unauthorized manner. If you’re not sure how to do this, here’s a quick guide:
- Open the PlayStation 4 system software. This is located on the main menu in your home screen.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and locate “System Settings.” This will be located under “Hardware & Software.”
- Scroll down again and locate “Boot Options.” This will be located under “Security & Maintenance.”
- Scroll down another few pages and find “Boot Code.” This will be located under “Other Options.”
- Copy and paste the boot code into a text editor or online tool such as Google Sheets or Excel, then save the file as something like PS4_bootcode.bin.6. Reboot your PlayStation 4 system by pressing any of the following buttons: (1) Power on your PlayStation 4 system; (2) Select System Settings; (3) Select Boot Options; (4) Select Boot Code; (5) Reboot Now.
