- Try using another HDMI cable If you’re using an HDMI cable that’s not compatible with your PlayStation 4, it might be causing problems such as stuttering or freezing during gameplay sessions. Try using a different HDMI cable that’s compatible with your PlayStation 4 to see if that resolves any issues you’re experiencing. If not, then it might be time to purchase a new HDMI cable altogether.
