Adding page numbers in Illustrator is a simple process that can help you keep track of your illustrations. Page numbers are used to identify each illustration on a page, and they can also be used to help you organize your illustrations. To add page numbers in Illustrator, follow these steps:
- Open Illustrator and click the File menu and select New File.
- In the New File dialog, enter a name for the new file and click OK.
- In the left pane of the new file, select a location for the file and click OK again.
- In the right pane of the new file, select an image or object to use as a starting point for your page numbers. Click OK to close the file dialogs.
- To add page numbers to your illustrations, open them in Illustrator and drag one or more images or objects into position at the bottom of each panel on your screen (or use one of the tools available to you). Then click on one of the images or objects to start adding page numbers (you can also use keyboard shortcuts). When you’re finished adding pages numbers, drag any excess images or objects out of position and close Illustrator by clicking its Close button.
