If you’re like most people, you probably use Adobe Illustrator to create logos, illustrations, and other graphics. But did you know that you can also use Illustrator to create guides? In this article, we’ll show you how to add guides in Illustrator. First, open up Illustrator and create a new document. You can use any size or shape for your document, but we recommend using a standard A4 paper size so that your guides will be easy to see. Next, select the Pen tool (P) and click on the center of your document window. This will activate the Guides panel (G). To add a new guide, click on the + button located at the bottom of the panel and select Guide from the list of options that appears. Next, enter the dimensions of your guide in inches or centimeters depending on what type of guide you’re creating. For example, if you’re creating a horizontal guide, enter 18 inches in inches or 6 cm in centimeters as your value. If you’re creating a vertical guide, enter 12 inches in inches or 3 cm in centimeters as your value. Once you’ve entered your dimensions, click on OK to close out of the Guides panel and return to Illustrator’s main workspace. Your new guide will now be visible within your document window! ..
